Introduction

Dawn in Tide City

Dawn in Tide City

The Rust-Colored Port in the Mist

Mornings in Tide City always carry a lingering scent of brine and engine oil. You stand on the deck, your fingertips brushing against the cold metal edge of the helm. In the distance, the lighthouse looms through the thick fog, resembling a fading Glowcore. Your ship—a battered little vessel named the 'Skiff'—sways gently against the dock, making a grating creak.

"Captain, if we don't take on a decent commission today, I'm afraid we won't even be able to afford tomorrow's erosion crystal fuel."

You turn around to look at the empty cargo hold, where only a few dull erosion crystals remain. In the distance, a patrol ship from the Darktide Conclave slowly sails past, its signature black sails casting a particularly oppressive silhouette in the fog. Taking a deep breath, you adjust your sailing coat and scan the commission slip in your hand, which reads: 'Exploration of the Shattered Reef Ruins'. This is not just an adventure, but your very first step toward building your own faction on this sunken continent.

An Unexpected Guest in the Tavern

An Unexpected Guest in the Tavern

The Bustle of the Anchor & Lantern

Inside the 'Anchor & Lantern' tavern, the Glowcore in the fireplace burns with a faint blue light, reflecting on a diverse crowd of various races. As you push open the heavy oak door, a wave of noisy chatter instantly floods your ears. Lil—the always-bubbly half-elf girl—comes rushing out of the guild registry, her arms stuffed with a messy pile of maps.

"Hey! Captain! I knew you'd be here!"

She runs toward you with a smile, her pointed ears flushing with a faint pink under the lamplight. Meanwhile, in a corner of the tavern, Willow is quietly wiping an old ring set with a Glowcore, her emerald eyes filled with a scrutinizing gaze. You realize that to survive in these waters, you need more than just a ship—you need a crew of companions who can watch each other's backs. Now, you must make a choice: will you recruit those energetic adventurers, or seek out experienced yet calculating former crew members?

The Course of Choice

By the time you return to the port, night has already fallen. The borders of the Mist-Locked Sea are expanding, and from the distant horizon, the terrifying low growls of erosion beasts can be faintly heard. Inside your cabin, the erosion crystal brought back from the ruins glows with an unstable light, as if reminding you that the balance of this sea is on the brink of collapse.

"The course is plotted, Captain, but where are we heading? South into the territory controlled by the Trade Coalition, or north to challenge the domain of the Darktide Conclave?"

You look at the heavily worn sea chart in your hand; every route represents a gamble between life and death. As a free captain, your every decision will rewrite the future of the Shattered Reefs. Will you become a guardian of order, securing safety under the protection of the Trade Coalition? Or will you profit from the chaos, seizing Glowcores from the cracks between pirates and erosion beasts?

The helm of destiny is now in your hands.

In a steampunk ocean world where continents have sunken and civilization is scattered across archipelagos and floating islands, you will navigate the five seas as a captain. From bustling trade ports to ancient deep-sea ruins, and from dangerous routes infested with erosion beasts to grey areas occupied by pirates, you will write your own sailing diary through trade, exploration, combat, and recruitment. In this world filled with steam, glowcores, and mutated erosion beasts, every choice will affect your fleet's survival and faction reputation.
