The Dusk-Colored Summoner: Symphony of Promise and Protection
Introduction

The Dusk-Colored Prologue
You stand on the rooftop of Doremiya Academy, where the setting sun dyes the entire city into a sea of amber light. A gentle breeze brushes through the tips of your deep purple hair, and the small purple lizard on your shoulder—Arma—mumbles in his arrogant voice, "Failed again, young man. The black smoke is spectacular, but that is not Name Summoning at all."
You clasp the catalyst left by your mother, feeling the residual warmth on your fingertips. Night Name Summoning—the heretical color founded by your mother, Evemarie—always turns into powerless black smoke in your hands. Just as you lower your eyes, light footsteps echo from behind you.
"Neat! I knew you'd be here." A girl with crimson hair—Kluel Sophienet—walks over, bathed in the setting sun. Her azure eyes look exceptionally gentle in the twilight. "Practicing again? You've already made a lot of progress." Caring nothing about the black smoke on you, she sits down beside you. "I believe you will definitely fulfill that promise. Because—" She pauses, her voice carrying an earnest determination, "because that is your mother, and it is also your path."
The tolling of the distant clock tower pulls your thoughts back to reality. You recall your mother's dying words—"Go find him, and look at him for me... that promised person." Yet, you cannot even fully picture her true appearance.
Kluel gently touches your hand: "Starting tomorrow, I'll practice the resonance of Red Name Summoning with you. Maybe it'll help you get a feel for it." Just as you are about to thank her, Arma suddenly sits up straight, staring into a shadow deep in the courtyard. A figure wearing a withered-grass-colored coat seems to stand there, only to vanish in the next second.
"...!" You hold your breath as an indescribable premonition wells up in your heart.

The Weight of the Promise
Between the bookshelves deep in the library, the yellowed pages emit a scent of old ink. Your fingertips slide across rows of Name Summoning classics, trying to find scattered records of Night Name Summoning. You have flipped through the notebook left by your late mother many times, but there are always some torn blank pages, as if silently refusing to give answers.
"Night Name Summoning... that is Evemarie's poem, isn't it?" A lazy yet steady voice sounds from behind you. You spin around to see a young man in a withered-grass-colored coat leaning against a bookshelf, his deep eyes seemingly examining you. "Mr. Kainz...?" you ask tentatively.
He does not answer, but instead stares at the catalyst in your hand. "Your mother must be very proud, even though she chose the hardest path." He takes a step closer, and you notice the edges of his coat are somewhat faded, as if it has been worn for a very long time. "She once showed me the prototype of Night Name Summoning. Back then, she said she wanted to let the world hear a different color."
Your breathing quickens. "You knew my mother?" Kainz nods slightly. "We were classmates, and... old friends." His gaze sweeps over your clenched fist. "You seem to be pursuing a certain promise. But you must know, some promises are much heavier than you think." He takes a shimmering scale from his coat and hands it to you. "This might help you. But don't be in a hurry to use it—the true essence of Name Summoning lies not in power, but in what you are willing to protect."
You take the scale, and the moment your fingertips touch the warmth, a silhouette of a girl flashes through your mind—a black-haired, lonely, and proud back, with the same eyes as yours. You almost blurt out, "Mother..."
But Kainz has already turned to leave, leaving only one sentence: "When twilight and dawn meet, you will understand."

The Whisper of the Tuner
In the dormitory late at night, you toss and turn in bed, unable to sleep. The scale lies by your pillow, emitting a gentle moonlight glow. You close your eyes, trying to recall Kainz's words, but unconsciously fall into a dream.
Your consciousness drifts in the darkness, surrounded by countless floating lines of musical scores, with a low melody resonating like a heartbeat. Then, you "see" a door—a gateway constructed of countless transparent musical scales, with a crimson light seeping through the gap.
"You have come, child of the promised one." A voice echoes directly in your consciousness, indistinguishable in gender, yet possessing a calm that transcends age. "I am Amaryllis—the true spirit within Kluel. Your arrival will change everything, but it may also make her disappear."
Your heart suddenly tightens. "Disappear? Why?"
"Because the promise you pursue concerns the reincarnation of the wills of Mikvexs and Amadeus. With every reset, intellect is stripped away." The voice carries a hint of sorrowful tranquility. "But perhaps, you can find a third path—one that saves both her and this world."
You want to ask more, but the scene collapses, and you feel a violent fluctuation of Name Summoning—it emanates from the center of the academy, interwoven with low chanting and lights of various hues. You snap your eyes open; outside the window, a blue-green pillar of light shoots straight into the sky, tearing a hole in the night.
Arma's voice comes from your shoulder: "There's an intruder—and that direction is... Kluel's dormitory."
You come to your senses, grab your coat and catalyst, and rush out the door.
In this world woven by the five-colored Name Summoning, Neat Yehlemihas, the successor of the Night-Color Name Summoning, transfers to Toramier Academy to fulfill a promise to his deceased mother. He meets Kluel Sophienet, a kind yet lost girl of the Red Name Summoning, and forms a bond with her that transcends life and death through successive trials. The rampage of the <Hatching Stone> at the tournament, the frantic invasion of the Grey Name Summoning, and the grand ideal of Xiao, the Apostle of the Blank Name Summoning... the boy and girl are swept into an age-old struggle among the Tuners. When they realize that the very foundation of the world—Name Summoning itself—is about to be reset, and that Kluel is the key and sacrifice for this revolution, Neat makes an oath: even if he must transcend laws and the twilight, he will rescue her from her predetermined cage of fate. This is a grand symphony of promise, bonds, and the love of dawn.
